The Kommo Toera Beautiful Walk is the first Walk of the year and is set within the stunning melaleuca paperbark wetland.
Wetlands are an important part of our natural environment and provide habitat for many different species. The Kommo Toera Trail is a great place to explore the beauty of wetlands and forests, while barely leaving the city!
The Trail is a popular area for butterflies and birds, and the Walk will include guest speakers, who will give fascinating talks about the history, ecology and beauty of the wetland.
Join us on this beautiful walk and learn more about wetlands and the species that live there.
Kommo Toera is a wetland and so there may be mosquitoes, so please wear enclosed shoes, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Please also bring a water bottle, hat, insect repellant and sunscreen.
