The Bentley Effect tells an story of community standing up to fossil fuel companies. Farmers, hippies, local business people, artists, residents, teachers, children and more worked together to oppose gas drilling that would destroy water tables in Northern New South Wales. They faced a powerful opposition. Well funded mining companies with the support of the state government. But those forces couldn't compete with imaginative community activism and commitment to win. Eventually the community did win and this film is a celebration of the victory.
Come along to this special screening of the Bently Effect and learn how you can set your mind to winning environmental campaigns. Tickets are free, we're only asking for a gold coin donation to offset costs if you can afford it.
