Join us next Sunday for a historic tour of the Pioneer River!

Cyclones, shipping and shark attacks! The Pioneer river has a rich past. Join us as we walk from Forgan’s bridge to the community gardens enjoying stories about the natural and social history of this magnificent river.

Everyone is invited to join us for a picnic lunch in the community gardens after the walk (BYO food).

WHAT: Historic tour of the Pioneer River
WHEN: Sunday 27th July, Meet at 10am.
The walk is 3km and will go for approx 2 hours. We will finish near the Community Gardens so you may want to consider car pooling and leaving a car near the Gardens for easy transportation back to town.
WHERE: Meet at Bluewater Quay (next to the whale bones sculpture at the corner of Sydney St and River St, Mackay).
