Small change. Local impact.
Ten cents might not sound like much, but together, those containers can make a real difference.
100 containers = $10
500 containers = $50
1,000 containers = $100
5,000 containers = $500
10,000 containers = $1,000
By choosing MCG as the recipient of your container refunds, you are creating an ongoing source of support for local environmental work without needing to make an additional cash donation.
Why donate your containers to MCG?
Your containers can do more than avoid landfill.
By donating your refund to Mackay Conservation Group, you are helping us continue our work to protect the natural environment of the Mackay region.
Your support helps us with activities including environmental advocacy, community education, conservation campaigns and encouraging stronger protection of our local ecosystems.
It is a simple way to turn everyday recycling into local environmental action.
Businesses can get involved too
Does your workplace, café, gym, office, club or organisation regularly collect bottles and cans?
You can support MCG simply by directing your Containers for Change refunds to us.
There is no need to organise a separate fundraiser or make a financial donation. Just collect your eligible containers as usual and nominate Mackay Conservation Group when receiving your refund.
