2025 Federal Election - Voting for Nature & Climate

The 2025 Federal Election has finally been called for Saturday 3 May - and each election cycle that drags by with no real plan to move off fossil fuels, a properly planned roll out of renewable energy and preparations for climate impacts are more vital years lost. This is your time to change that.

Queensland has felt the real impacts of a changing climate in the last months, from back-to-back heatwaves, record floods and rain, plus the devastation of ex-tropical Cyclone Alfred. Despite this, new climate polluting projects like coal and gas continue to be approved.

We know that nuclear is not the solution - it is far too costly, water-guzzling and destructive of First Nations countries for uranium supplies. It would also take too long to build, while we know renewable energy - done right - is right here and now and can be used to protect our communities from worsening climate impacts.

This election is a chance to vote for nature-positive solutions.


What you can do to make this election count:

1. Be enrolled to vote

2. Know where your candidates stand on issues that are important to you (stay tuned for scorecards on where the parties stand on nature policies)

3. Put a yard sign up! There are many options for what suits you best
