Dana Lyons Concert - World Environment Day

Dana Lyons is a singer-songwriter and environmental activist who has spent decades working to protect forests, rivers, oceans and the climate. Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to see him in Mackay.

Taylors Hotel 126 Wood St Mackay, 5 June, 6.30pm

RSVP here mackayconservationgroup.org.au/cowswithguns

You have probably heard his hit Cows With Guns but you'll find many more thoughtful and amusing pieces in his musical collection.

Dana has come to Mackay to play this once only performance to benefit Mackay Conservation Group on World Environment Day, Tuesday 5 June. Please purchase your ticket now as numbers are very limited.

Suggested donation $10 to $20 but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Please call Peter on 07 4953 0808 if money is an issue.

His most recent campaigns have included The Great Coal Train Tour, a 75 show tour along the coal train route from eastern Montana to Bellingham, Washington. The five year campaign led to Washington and Oregon states defeating six new coal ports. (Sound like an outcome we'd like to see with Adani?)

Currently Dana is on a two month concert tour of Australia called the Cane Toad Muster! Tour. Dana is singing and speaking about numerous Australian environmental issues including fracking and cane toads. Dana is best known for his comedy hit Cows With Guns.

We are also very pleased to have local musician Mick Woodbridge supporting the concert. Come along and see some superb local and international talent.
