World Oceans Day: Doorknocking Training Session

This World Oceans Day, learn how to doorknock and talk to others about our mangroves, waterways, and the impact the Mackay Port Access Road will have on them all. 🌳 🌊

Mackay's mangroves are crucial fish nursery areas, helping grow fish like bream, barramundi, mudcrabs and flathead. Plus they filter out water, keeping our oceans and reef clean and healthy. 🪸🐋

We’ll go through the basics of doorknocking, share key information about the project and its impacts on mangroves, wildlife and nearby residents, and help everyone feel comfortable and prepared before heading into the community.

No experience needed! Whether you’ve done community outreach before or this is your first time, we need everyone!

There'll be snacks - but please bring anything you'd prefer to eat.
