NAB are promoting themselves as a green bank. They say they are committed to climate action and have a goal  of net zero emissions by 2050, and yet NAB has been involved in lending deals worth billions of dollars to Whitehaven Coal which has plans to double their coal production – including Winchester South near Moranbah.

Emissions from these mines would unleash almost 1.1 billion tonnes of carbon emissions, the equivalent of almost twice Australia’s total annual emissions.
